ASLM2014 Scientific Committee Chair, Prof. Rosanna Peeling
Prof. Rosanna Peeling is Professor and Chair of Diagnostics Research at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Trained as a medical microbiologist, she previously served as the Research Coordinator and Head of Diagnostics Research at the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/ WHO Special Programme on Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (WHO/TDR) in Geneva, Switzerland. Prof. Peeling was also the Chief of the Canadian National Laboratory for Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
She is a member of many international advisory panels and editorial boards, and is the recipient of many awards, including the YM-YWCA Women of Distinction Award. Prof. Peeling’s research was featured in a Discovery Channel documentary on chlamydia infection and infertility.
